Yaqa Toot

Yaqatoot Kilims, made with 100% Mazar Afghan wool, is a modern revival of a long forgotten weaving style practiced in Afghanistan back in the nineteenth century. First, pieces of any desired length are woven with a fixed width, ranging from 70-110 cm. Then, these are hand stitched by skilled weavers to produce a single kilim. The result of this time-consuming process is an intricate piece of Art, which is not only comfortable to walk on, due to the high lanolin wool but durable and hardwearing at the same time.
